Features and applications of tapered roller bearings

Features of tapered roller bearings
Tapered roller bearings are separable bearings, the inner and outer rings of the bearing have tapered raceways, and the rollers are truncated. The roller and the raceway are in line contact, which can bear heavier radial and axial combined load, and can also bear pure axial load. The larger the contact angle, the higher the axial load carrying capacity.
The design of the tapered roller should make the contact line between the roller and the inner and outer raceways extended and intersect at the same point on the bearing axis to achieve pure rolling.
The newly designed tapered roller bearing adopts a reinforced structure, the diameter of the roller is increased, the length of the roller is increased, the number of rollers is increased, and the roller with convexity is adopted, so that the bearing capacity and fatigue life of the bearing are significantly improved. The contact between the large end face of the roller and the large rib adopts the spherical surface and the conical surface to improve the lubrication.
This type of bearing can be divided into different structural types such as single-row, double-row and four-row tapered roller bearings according to the number of rows of rollers installed. This type of bearing also uses inch series products.
Tapered roller bearing cage form
Tapered roller bearings mostly use steel stamping cages, but when the outer diameter of the bearing is greater than 650mm, a pillar welded structure cage with rollers with pillar holes is used.
The main purpose
Single row: front and rear wheels of automobiles, main shafts of machine tools, axle vehicles, rolling mills, construction machinery, hoisting machinery, printing machinery and various deceleration devices.
Double row: machine tool spindle, rolling stock.
